Before Care

Before Care begins at 7:45 a.m. before the start of their instructional school day.

After Care


After school care is available from end of school 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.
Fee of $10 per child per session or $50 per week can be paid weekly or monthly. Drop in care is available for $10.

**A late fee of $1 per minute will be charged if parent is late to pick up after 5:00pm.

POLICY

WESLEY SCHOOL Late Pick-Up Policy – Aftercare Program

To ensure the safety and well-being of all children in our care, and to respect the time of our staff, the following policy will be in effect for any child picked up after the scheduled closing time of the aftercare program.

Program Hours
Our aftercare program ends promptly at 5:00 PM. All children must be picked up by this time. Late Pick-Up Fees

A late fee will be charged for any child not picked up by 5:00 PM, as follows: • $1.00 per minute per child after 5:00 PM.

For example, picking up a child at 5:15 PM would result in a $15 late fee.

Procedure

  • The time will be recorded when the parent/guardian arrives to pick up the child, based on the aftercare program clock.

  • A staff member will complete a Late Pick-Up Form, which must be signed by the parent/ guardian.

  • Fees will be added to the family’s account and must be paid in full before the child may continue in the program.
    Emergency Contact Protocol
    If a child is not picked up by 5:15 PM, and no communication has been received from the parent/guardian, staff will begin calling the emergency contacts listed on the child’s registration form.
    Repeated Late Pick-Ups
    We understand that emergencies happen; however, repeated late pick-ups disrupt program operations. The following actions will be taken for repeated late pick-ups:

  • 1st & 2nd Instance: Late fee charged; reminder of policy issued.

  • 3rd Instance: Child may be suspended from the aftercare program for one week.

  • 4th Instance: Possible permanent removal from the aftercare program.

Exceptions

If there is an emergency or unavoidable delay, please call the aftercare program as soon as possible. While fees may still apply, timely communication is appreciated and helps staff manage the situation appropriately. If there are traffic accidents and things that are unavoidable that affect a timely pick up we may make exceptions to the late fees.
