Closure Status

School Closed Until April 27 From Ms Stacy

"I hope that all of you are doing well and hanging in there during this unprecedented time.

On behalf of your teachers, we really miss all of your children!

As we consider what the future holds for this current school year, we have to acknowledge two announcements that inform our direction for the remainder of the school year.

Governor Larry Hogan, along with Dr. Karen Salmon, announced today that all Maryland public schools will be closed through April 24th. This led to the direction by Bishop Easterling who has informed all United Methodist Church buildings be closed through Sunday, April 27 .

Following these guidelines, the preschool classes of Mt Harmony Preschool will not meet through April 24th with a planned return to school on Monday April 27. The Kindergarten students will remain in session and receive their distance learning packets from Ms Jamie and Ms Kassie.

Going forward, please know that we will continue to follow the guidelines that Calvert County Public Schools and our United Methodist Bishop. I am closely monitoring all announcements made and once I receive any additional information, I will certainly share it with all of you. As time goes on, we will have a greater sense of overall plans concerning the remainder of this school year

For preschool families on autopay, April tuition payments will be stopped. No payment will be due for April, and we will pick up with May pending permission to re-open.

For those families who paid in full for this school year, we will be reconciling your account in May. For Kindergarten families, your tuition schedule remains in place as your child is enrolled and will be switching to a distance learning model. Ms. Jamie will have information for each of you directly.

If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact me. We pray that all of our families stay healthy and safe and that we may connect again really soon."
